We have officially finished our first, of many, soccer season. The boys had a great time and have been playing in the back yard a lot more.
Real Soccer gave a free clinic that I took the boys to. They got to wear "pennies" which made them feel very cool, got a T-shirt, and their first autograph.
We had a bit of a rocky start, but by the end of the season the boys finally learned the first rule of soccer: "No Crying!" They would get upset if one had to sit out while the other played, or they were on different scrimmage teams during practice, or one of them scored more goals. It was exhausting, but they understood and had more fun by the end.
A lot of my pictures with Seth had his tongue sticking out when he went to kick the ball. We drove our neighbor home from a game and the boys were all discussing how many games they'd won. We missed the first game, which they lost, and Carter said: "We can't win without you there Seth." I don't think I have ever seen Dan look so happy when he hear that; he was physically beaming.
Brad loves to raise his hand in the air when the team scores a point or he does really well.

The sticking your tongue out while concentrating will probably be a lifelong thing. My dad still does that :-)
Whoops - ever since Scott got gmail, we keep posting or leaving comments under each others name. :-)
