Stapleton Family

Brad and Seth

While mom and Claire have been spending a lot of time in our recliner, Brad and Seth have still been busy.  They played Jr. Jazz basketball this season. Their last game was today and Brad scored his first basket, it was very exciting.  Seth scored five this season and had a basket today as well. They were both good at defense and for never having played before, they were noticeably better by the end.
They prefer to pass to each other, but started passing to the other teammates by the end of the season.

There was no school on Monday so I took the boys miniature golfing at Boondocks and out for ice cream while Claire hung out with her Macha.
 The boys being silly.

They were each the "Bee of the Week".   I should've taken a picture of the poster before it spent two weeks at school so it wouldn't have been so beat up.  The boys each did everything themselves, except the orange paper.

Lots of pictures of Claire

We didn't have an iPhone when Brad and Seth were born, so with Claire I have lots more pictures.

Both Janet and Claire's first ever "selfie"

The boys get excited when Claire has "tummy time".  They try to teach her how to lift her head.

Our Sweet Claire

Claire Vila Stapleton arrived Tuesday, February 18th at 9:43 am. 8lbs 6oz, 20.5"
She has lots of dark hair- Janet may have gotten her mini-me this time

Both the boys love her.  Brad is always saying "Isn't Claire the most adorable baby?"

January

Dan took the boys snowshoeing up Little Cottonwood Canyon.  I wish I could have gone, but I get a bit winded climbing the stairs.

We spent "Family Fun Day" at the Planetarium.  This is the boys looking at a mock tornado. In my opinion it was the coolest thing there- you create a funnel cloud.

Pretending to walk on the moon.  We watched a space movie in the dome theater, Dan and I both fell asleep for most of that, and then we saw an IMAX movie about Jerusalem that was really good.
Brad exchanged one of his Christmas gifts that was a duplicate of something he already had and was really excited about his Hero Factory.  Hero Factory is the boys favorite toy right now.
No pictures were taken at a baby shower my friends threw for me, which made it more relaxing, but far less documented.  We have moved the boys downstairs (their room in a work in progress, so pictures to come later), have the crib set up and clothes ready, now we just need Claire.  I wish February 18th felt sooner.
The boys read 100 books over Christmas Break, so they got a special prize at school and get to go to a pizza party.  It required multiple trips to the library, but worth it.

Post Christmas Fun

Since Christmas it feels like all we've done is Legos.  The boys were able to do a lot of the X-Wing by themselves and were really excited about it.

Today, Dan spent nearly six hours helping them put together the Millenium Falcon.  I guess when they put for ages 9 and up they really do mean it. :)  As each hour slipped away, so did some of Dan's Christmas Spirit.  They are so excited, though.  They had a complete photo shoot to show off their handiwork, this is only a small sample of the pictures taken.

I was given a tour of all the cool features.

Christmas Day

Santa surprised the boys with some pretty sweet Legos this year.
They also got a new 3D movie and gloves
Santa comes through our front door since we have no chimney. We left out reindeer food that the boys had made at school and it was eaten.  Reindeer are apparently sloppy eaters, it was all over the floor
Then we loaded up and drove to Machas to open presents and have breakfast with the Stapletons. Aunt Nancy got all the kids monkeys that gave give you hugs; they were a big hit.
It's hard to believe that the Millenium Falcon could be beat out by anything, but the boys were most excited about the gifts they had picked out for each other.  Since we can't take them to the store very well, we have them take turns choosing a gift for each other online.  They exchanged Hero Factory action figures.

We then went to Grandma and Grandpa Ogilvie's house to exchange gifts and eat lunch.  I ran out of steam taking pictures so I'll have to wait for Grandpa on those.  The highlight may have been the bubble wrap that they got to pop.
